Indiana Fever

So the barbecue was well-planned and the ingredients were in order, but nobody checked the weather. It’s downpouring now and it won’t stop until the evening. The barbecue needs to be postponed, but not permanently canceled.

Rest assured, new Fever fan. The team might be a little messy this year, but there’s talent in place. Last year’s No. 2 overall pick Kelsey Mitchell is the real deal, crossing up defenders and firing from deep. This year’s No. 3 pick Teaira McCowan is a shot-blocking machine, too, and if the tank works properly, another top pick will be in order in 2020 (Hi, Sabrina Ionescu.) The sun is right around the corner.

Look, the Fever may be a tough out but it’s Indiana. No one loves basketball like Indiana. Just hold on, it’s going to get better.
