Houston Rockets at Golden State Warriors
When: Wednesday, May 8, 10:30 p.m. ET
Where: Oracle Arena, Oakland, California
Betting Line / Total: Golden State -6 / 219.5 Points
Golden State Warriors Notes
The Warriors had a golden opportunity to take a commanding 3-0 lead over the Rockets when they forced overtime in Game 3 in Houston, but they came up short on a night that saw Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combine to go just 13-for-39 from the floor and 4-for-15 from three-point range.
Thompson was dreadful again in Game 4 shooting 5-for-15 overall and 1-for-6 on three-pointers. Kevin Durant has carried the team throughout the series, but he’s going to need some help over these next few games.
In their last 30 games at home, the Warriors are 10-19-1 ATS per the OddsShark NBA Database. They are 8-2 SU over their last 10 at the Oracle Arena.
Houston Rockets Notes
The Rockets need James Harden at his absolute best if they hope to upset the Warriors in this series, and that’s what they’ve received over the last two games. Harden had 41 points, nine rebounds and six assists in the team’s 126-121 overtime win in Game 3 and 38 points, 10 rebounds and four assists in its 112-108 win in Game 4.
Now Houston needs to find a way to break through with a win on the road where the team is 1-4 SU and 2-3 ATS over its last five games.
Rockets at Warriors Betting Total
Wednesday night’s total is set at 219.5 points at sports betting sites. The UNDER is 4-1 in Houston’s last five road games.
In just two games, this series went from what felt like it might be a Golden State rout to what now feels like an instant classic. It seems like a given at this point that Durant and Harden are going to produce; which superstar gets more support from the rest of his team will likely be the one that comes out on top in Game 5.
