Dallas Stars Notes
After opening this series with a 3-2 loss in St. Louis, the Stars went on to win three of the next four games in the series including each of the last two in St. Louis with wins in Game 2 and Game 5.
The 2-1 victory in Game 5 gave Dallas the chance to close the series out in Game 6 at home, but St. Louis was up to the task and it extended the series with a 4-1 win. Ben Bishop left the game early after suffering an upper body injury, but reports indicate that he is fine and will be ready to go on Tuesday night.
The Stars are 11-4 in their last 15 games on the road per the OddsShark NHL Database. The road team is 4-2 through the first six games of this series.
St. Louis Blues Notes
St. Louis played like a team with its playoff lives on the line in Game 6, controlling the tempo for big chunks at a time and then finally breaking it open with two goals in 33 seconds in the third period. Jordan Binnington only faced 23 shots, but he had his best game of the series allowing only one goal on the night.
Since posting a 3.00 goals-against average through the first four games of the series, Binnington has allowed only three total goals over his last two starts. The Blues are just 2-4 at home this postseason.
Stars at Blues Betting Notes
Tuesday night’s total is set at five goals at online betting sites. The UNDER is 4-1-1 in the last six games between these two teams in St. Louis.
This series deserved a seventh game with the way that these two teams have played over the last six. And with how good both teams have been on the road and how little home ice has mattered, this one almost feels like a pick’em. All eyes will be on Bishop and Binnington in what should be a tight game from start to finish.
