Pure devastation.
I’m honestly angry at myself that I didn’t see this Yu Darvish pitch until this morning.

I have an deep, endless, undying love for this pitch. It’s 99 miles per hour, just to start things off — and then he wallops poor Lewis Brinson right in the beans. Just square in the beans. In the immortal words of Billy Mays:
“But that’s not all ...”
After careening into Brinson’s beans and causing him to collapse in a heap the ball then went on to strike umpire Brian O’Nora in the shoulder, almost knocking him off his feet too. Just a brutal ricocheting bean shot with collateral damage the likes of which we’ve rarely ever seen.
