Auburn and Texas Tech enter the Final Four as the underdogs on the college basketball betting lines facing Virginia and Michigan State.
The No. 5 Auburn Tigers are 12-0 straight up over their last 12 games and 8-2 against the spread over their last 10. The Tigers will try to earn another upset win this Saturday squaring off against the No. 1 Virginia Cavaliers.
Auburn is the biggest underdog remaining on the odds to win the NCAA Tournament going off at +600 at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. A 97-80 win over No. 1 North Carolina in the Sweet 16 was tarnished by the loss of forward Chuma Okeke to a torn ACL. But even without Okeke, the Tigers were able to force overtime as 4.5-point underdogs against Kentucky in the Elite Eight and eventually win that game 77-71. The Tigers will be looking for a third straight upset Saturday as 5-point underdogs on the March Madness lines.
Virginia is the last remaining No. 1 seed on the board and is now a +150 favorite to win the national championship. One year removed from an embarrassing defeat at the hands of No. 16 UMBC in the first round of last year’s tournament, the Cavaliers have bounced back to advance to their first Final Four since 1984. The Cavaliers needed overtime to knock off No. 3 Purdue, but they eventually covered the spread to improve to 33-3 SU and 25-11 ATS.
Not far behind Virginia on the March Madness odds are the No. 2 Michigan State Spartans at +185 to win the title. No. 1 Duke survived late scares against UCF and Virginia Tech in its previous two games, but the luck finally ran out for the Blue Devils as this time they found themselves on the wrong side of a close one in a 68-67 defeat to the Spartans. Michigan State is 9-0 SU and 7-2 ATS over its last nine games.
Rounding out the field are the No. 3 Texas Tech Red Raiders. Texas Tech never looked like an underdog against No. 1 Gonzaga, controlling the tempo on both ends of the court for large chunks of their impressive 75-69 win over the Bulldogs. The Red Raiders enter the Final Four on a 13-1 SU and 12-2 ATS run at sports betting sites over their last 14 games.
NCAA Tournament Odds
Virginia +150
Michigan State +185
Texas Tech +425
Auburn +600
