Michigan State Spartans Notes
The Spartans have been one of the nation’s best bets all season long with a 32-6 SU and 27-11 ATS record. Cassius Winston is now the favorite to win the NCAA Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player award after playing a big part in knocking off the previous two favorites, Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett, leading the team with 20 points and 10 rebounds in Michigan State’s 68-67 upset win over Duke last Sunday.
With a win on Saturday, the Spartans could return to the NCAA Tournament championship game for the first time since 2009. In its last five games in the Final Four, Michigan State is 1-4 SU and ATS.
Texas Tech Red Raiders Notes
Texas Tech has arguably been the most dominant team in this year’s NCAA Tournament thus far with a perfect 4-0 SU and ATS record and a margin of victory of 15 points per game. The Red Raiders stymied the Michigan Wolverines in a 63-44 blowout in the Sweet 16 and held the nation’s top offense to just 69 points in their 75-69 win over Gonzaga last Saturday. Since February 4, Texas Tech is 13-1 SU and 12-2 ATS.
Red Raiders vs. Spartans Betting Total
Saturday night’s total is set at 132.5 points at betting sites. The UNDER is 5-1 in Michigan State’s last six games per the OddsShark College Basketball Database.
This one has the makings of an instant classic. Both teams entered the tournament red hot, have played well on both sides of the court throughout the tournament and are coming in off of upsets over the previous two favorites to win the championship. It’s tough not to see this one going right down to the wire.
