Whoooops.
DeMarcus Cousins had an incredible game on Wednesday night, but he also had one hilarious flub.
Cousins throws to a wide-open Steph Curry...who's on the bench pic.twitter.com/q5KXrVD6db— The Render (@TheRenderNBA) March 14, 2019
Cousins was looking for an open shooter early in the second quarter when he saw Steph Curry behind the arc, with no defender even close. Naturally he did what almost anyone would in this situation: Find the open shooter.
There was just one problem ... Steph wasn’t in the game.
Curry stood up and took a step toward the court to get a better look at the play, and it threw off Cousins, who assumed a teammate standing was in the game. Honestly, you can’t really put this one on him. Steph shouldn’t have stood up, leading to the errant pass.
Not that it really mattered in the end — the Warriors went on to win 106-104.
